Our pledge: “We clean up each dive”
In addition to our own beach cleanup events, and speakers we bring in for monthly programs, the New England Aquarium Dive Club offers additional resources for members to help the ocean.
Single-Use Plastic Straws
After showing a special presentation on the film Straws, we continue to raise awareness of the wastefullness of single-use plastic straws. We continue to spread the word about the Last Plastic Straw campaign to restaurants, businesses and other groups, to move to biodegradable straws and straws upon request. You can help! Download and print the cards using the link below and bring them with you.

Ocean Pollution:
Public Awareness & Action
Scientists estimate the equivalent of one garbage truck full of plastic pollution enters our oceans every minute or 8 million metric tons annually. It is further estimated that at this rate, by the year 2050 there will be more plastic in the oceans than fish (by weight.) The Sea of Change Foundation seeks, guides, and funds projects that directly address this critical issue by educating and empowering consumers, communities, and industries to make more sustainable choices.
